The VP of Business Development will direct the development and execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes that will drive sales, and increase revenue. This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management, training, and on-boarding for all business development representatives. This role will conduct weekly 1:1’s with each Business Development Representative and provide reporting through metrics and milestones. This role will report to the CRO and work closely with Regional Managers to ensure alignment with regional budgets. The VP of Business Development will be responsible for driving the team to meet and or exceed the annual sales goal while creating harmony across all brands and markets.

Responsibilities

  • On-board, train and develop each new Business Development Representative.
  • Worth with CRO to create and establish standard operating procedures with current systems to support the growth of the business organically.
  • Help the team prospect, qualify and close business as needed and through hands-on training.
  • Support BD’s with RFP’s and responses to ensure proper alignment with customer expectations.
  • Set each BD’s annual goal and follow through weekly/monthly and quarterly to ensure alignment on the goal.
  • Lead the team through implementation and integration of Syncscapes with new business developers and new clients.
  • Work with CRO to develop and lead training efforts for new and existing employees. Through weekly 1:1’s, bi-weekly sales collaboration calls and bi-annual sales meetings.
  • Management business development pipeline and monthly proposed business.
  • Responsible for continuous education of Aspire policies and procedures through the sales process.
  • Lead liaison between business development team and operations teams across all markets.
  • Responsible for enhancing organic business growth through growing existing relationships and bringing in new ones.
  • Identify and develop existing relationships that can drive business across market.
  • Travel as-needed (typically bi-weekly) to support teams in a hands-on approach.
  • Participate in market events (tradeshows, lunch-n-learns, Regional Meetings, large customer meetings)
  • Develop and lead initiatives to enhance organic growth across the organization.
    • Track Business Development spend on marketing, customer entertainment and misc as it directly relates to the Regional P&L.
    • Partner with CRO and True Parallel (Marketing Firm) on basic needs for sales teams to drive leads.
  • Drive culture and cohesion across all brands and markets throughout the business development team.
  • Support the sales to production process and handoff and ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Work with CRO to develop larger partnerships and deals across all markets based on feedback from the business development team.
  • Manage marketing budget – including order swag for all brands, in addition to advertising collateral.

Required Education and Experience

  • Highschool Diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with ERP software
  • Experience with implementation and training employees
  • Proven track record delivering projects on time and on budget while achieving performance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Experience with developing SOP

Work Environment

This position is predominantly in an office setting. Fieldwork, while atypical, may be required.

Physical Demands

This position handles hand tools, power equipment, and use of hands to complete necessary tasks.

Travel

Out-of-town travel to other branches, industry conferences, training seminars will be expected. The Systems Implementation and Training Manager will use their own discretion as to when travel is necessary.
